Noel's Work BackgroundOSHA

In early 2024 Noel retired from his job as an OSHA (Occupational Health & Safety) California state investigator for the Oakland district office.

His focus was the same as what he is doing now in Atlanta with Peachy Home Solutions - recognizing hazards, evaluating them, and recommending controls (changes) to reduce or eliminate the risks of those hazards. The only difference is his focus for OSHA was on employees in a work place, whereas now his focus is primarily Senior Citizens, disabled people, or anyone who wants a more positive experience living in their home.  His work experience and his education makes him an expert in the field of health and safety.

At OSHA, Noel investigated many accidents, too often with severe injuries or fatalities. Surprisingly the number one cause of injury was from falls. Often the victim only fell a short distance, but it caused severe injuries or worse.

CDC logoNoel also spent five years working for CDC in Atlanta, and many years doing coral propagation research for Scientific Coral, including nearly a year living solo conducting research on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

He also has seven years construction experience, as the general contractor of 56 single family residential houses. So he has considerable construction experience not only from OSHA but also in being in charge of every aspect of building those houses.

It's imperative that we do everything we can to limit the possibility of falls, especially among our Senior Citizens. Often simple engineered changes, such as handrails,  can greatly decrease the likelihood of a fall.

Noel's Education

Noel has a Master Degree in Engineering (Texas A&M) and an undergrad degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS from Univ of GA!)

All of this work experience including OSHA, building houses, and education in health & safety, and engineering, combine to allow him to make changes needed to keep your loved one more safely in their home longer.  For a more detailed description of Noel's resume, check out his Linked in page here.

The goal of Peachy Home Solutions is to allow seniors to age in place safely and comfortably, rather than being prematurely transferred to a senior care facility. We want to keep them home, where they are most comfortable (and hopefully safer) for as long as possible. Our work enables them to do exactly that.

The cost of modifying a senior's (or a disabled person of any age) home, is miniscule compared to the monthly cost of a Care Facility, which are usually more than $5,000 per month ! And importantly our cost is a one time charge !
